Ice Cream Scarf

Why ice cream scarf? Well all the colors reminded me of ice cream flavors - chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, mint - but I don't have a flavor for the yellow.

I'm still practicing with scarfs and feel like I am getting a bit faster but I still see imperfections that drive me nuts. That is one reason I don't post my handmade stuff often. It just never feels good enough for me to show. But one thing I am trying to be a bit better about is not being so darn shy about these things. I mean I started this blog to encourage myself to illustrate more and create things every day after all!

Now off to knit a scarf for the sweetie :)

Summer Memories

I was trying to find something to post about for this weekend because I have been pretty much doing all my stuff off the computer. Such as knitting, errands, straightening up my studio (it is still a mess though!) and reading my current Robin Hobb book. Sooo that leaves me with not much illustrations to show. So guess what? You now get to see a few photos from our visit to the coast.

Snowman

Nothing much to share today but I did start this guy last week and didn't go much further with it. I got distracted by a penguin. :)

Apple Yum

I'm eating lots of apples these days. My favorites are Pink Ladies (Cripps) and Fuji. Though I picked up a couple apples at a local farmer's market in October and they were amazing but I have no idea what they were!

Adorably Pink

Lucky for this little cupcake I have cut out sweets from my diet. I can just imagine eating that fluffy sugary frosting and moist cake... but apples, carrots and almonds are my sweets these days.
